Fred Meyer
We got out of the house today. Whoo-hoo!!! We went shopping at Fred Meyer. When we first moved here Fred Meyer made me angry. I know, that's a little extreme, but it did. It just weired me out that you can shop for clothes with your groceries. That's just not right. I have given in and started grocery shopping there because the prices are better than Albertsons. Today I am thankful for Fred Meyer. We went there to grocery shop, me and all 4 kids, and on the way there I remembered that my parents sent me money for Christmas. I've been wanting some fake Ugg (sp.?) boots. I fought that trend, hard, and just recently have accepted the odd footwear. Anyway, so I was driving along, diffusing fights, on the very long 2 mile drive to the store. I wish kids could be happy for a 2 mile drive. Needless to say I was annoyed with them before we even got to the store. So, I immediately steered the cart toward the footwear section, located to the right of the produce (how freaking weird is that, thus the anger). I found the cutest boots, 50% off, the last pair even and they were my size! So I put them in the cart and then proceeded to load my groceries on top of the box. I felt really weird checking out, but now my feet are toasty warm and I only had to take four kids to one store! Yay Fred Meyer! You still weird me out.

I'm melting, I'm melting!
Well, the snow is finally melting. It got WAY crazier than the pictures showed. Andy, finally, got us out of the house on Friday. We hadn't left in a whole week. It was crazy. I've never had cabin fever so bad. I'm hoping by tomorrow it will be safe enough for me to drive.
Santa brought the kids bikes and Andy bought me one (pictures to come), so we're all so excited for the street to clear, so we can ride!

Christmas Pukeing
We started a new tradition this year and Andy wanted me to blog about it. I was out with the kids and we decided to drive around to look at all the houses decorated for Christmas. I was feeling pretty sad and tired, Andy hadn't been able to come home that weekend. We came across a house decorated, so horribly, for Christmas. So I said "look guys, Christmas puked on that yard." Then I made the puke noise as I drove by. We all started laughing so hard. So, we drove around looking at the lights and pukeing when necessary. Some of our pukes were beautifully decorated and some were hideously decorated. Either way we all had fun. Even Willson was getting into it. I've never heard him laugh so hard or so long. He was giddy. I was happier when we returned home. The next morning Mason came and asked me if we could go "Christmas Pukeing" again and thus a tradition was born.

Poop
Andy's in the process of "un-sticking" my car, with the help of our wonderful neighbors. We are getting ready to go to the grocery store. I asked Savannah to check to see if I had food in my teeth, I just ate, when Delaney spreads her lips and says "Check if I have poop in my teeth." I about fell off my chair and ran for the computer, before I forgot.
Stuck! = (
I'm totally stuck at home. I tried to go to the store today, it finally stopped snowing, and my car is completely stuck in the snow. My tires were spinning. So, I dug out around the car and had Savannah and Mason come out and tell which tires were spinning. We got it all figured out, the car was ready to move until I realized I was going to hit the side of the house unless I shoveled my driveway. Guess what? No shovel. No way to get one. So, I'm stuck and our Christmas food won't be nearly as special unless I can get out of the driveway.

Snow, snow and more snow
So, it's been snowing here like crazy.
I'm told that it's more snow than is normal. Great. They even cancelled church today. The kids are loving it. I've yet to embrace my inner "snow bunny" so I'm not enjoying it nearly as much. It sure is pretty though.

I drove for the first time in the snow a couple of days ago. It was not nearly as scary as I thought it would be. I only drove a few miles down the road to the Library, but was still so proud of myself.

Here we go!
I don't know that I have that much to say, but every one's told me otherwise. So, I'm attempting to start a blog. Since we are so far away now from family and lots of friends this might make it easier for everyone.
The kids made a Ginger bread house today. They had a lot of fun working on it. It did leave a pretty big mess on the bar, but they had fun with it.
